This project provides ongoing stewardship, access governance, and operational reliability for Filecoin Foundation’s core coordination and organizational infrastructure. The work focuses on systems that Filecoin Foundation relies on daily—including collaboration, identity, documentation, monitoring, and public-facing channels—many of which are historically owned or paid for by Protocol Labs. This creates unique coordination and continuity risks that are not well served by traditional ownership or one-off implementation models. Funding supports a neutral, cross-organizational stewardship role that ensures these systems remain secure, reliable, auditable, and adaptable as teams, vendors, and organizational structures evolve. The result is lower operational risk and higher execution velocity for Filecoin Foundation and the ecosystem it supports.

Filecoin Foundation depends on a set of shared systems for coordination, communications, governance, and program execution. Many of these systems are owned or administered by Protocol Labs but are operationally critical to Filecoin Foundation’s day-to-day work. As organizations evolve, this shared ownership model introduces risks: - access drift and privilege creep - unclear responsibility boundaries - fragile onboarding/offboarding processes - institutional knowledge concentrated in individuals rather than documentation Without continuous stewardship, these risks accumulate silently and can result in security incidents, access failures, or operational slowdowns that directly impact Filecoin Foundation’s ability to support the ecosystem. This project addresses the gap between one-time system setup and sustained organizational safety by funding ongoing coordination infrastructure stewardship across organizational boundaries.

Filecoin Foundation’s ability to support storage providers, developers, grantees, and ecosystem partners depends on reliable internal coordination infrastructure. This project reduces systemic operational risk, access failures, and execution friction, indirectly enabling teams and programs that directly drive Filecoin’s core economic and storage metrics.

This project produces durable governance, documentation, and stewardship practices that reduce operational failures and coordination bottlenecks. These outputs lead to: - faster onboarding and role transitions - fewer access and security incidents - clearer ownership and escalation paths Which in turn enables Filecoin Foundation teams and partners to focus on ecosystem growth rather than operational recovery. While indirect, this impact is foundational to sustainable ecosystem scaling.

1. Access Reliability: ≥90% of onboarding, offboarding, and access requests completed within defined SLAs throughout the grant period. 3. Governance Coverage: 100% of included systems relied upon by Filecoin Foundation documented with ownership and access models by Month 3. 5. Operational Continuity: Zero critical coordination or access incidents unresolved for more than 48 hours without mitigation or documented resolution.

This work is designed to reduce long-term cost and risk through durable documentation and clear governance, lowering reliance on individual institutional memory. Future sustainability may include: - incorporation into Filecoin Foundation operating budgets - follow-on ProPGF support tied to expanded scope or tooling - reduced effort over time as systems stabilize and automation increases
